The Downey Family

   Mary Ellen McGlenn, the daughter of Kenneth E. McGlenn who was the son of Bernard and Cora Ellen O'Connor Nichols McGlenn, began working on the McGlynn - McGlenn - Downey - O'Connell family history also in 1985. She obtained some information form her dad and undles but they knew very little about the early part of the family. From information obtained from Mary Ellen's Uncle Don, she began doing research in the summer of 1992 and compiled the history found here. The information was obtained from family members, censuses, death certificates, marriage applications, and church, cemetery and funeral home records.
